Karine Varga was born in Norfolk, Virigina in 1983. She spent her childhood in Buffalo New York, moving back to Virginia in 1998
Karine attended Governor's School for the Arts, focusing on Monoprinting, Silkscreen and Painting.
Varga describes her work as abstract in the moment motions, never planned intuitive visions - "I paint what I see in my mind and what I feel in my heart". Karine's own personal struggles and family circumstance has made her the passionate artist and person she is today.
Her influences being Clyfford Still, Charles Burchfield, Alexander Calder, Jackson Pollock, Vincent Van Gogh, Egon Schelie and Francis Bacon.
Varga is also aware that everything she has seen with her eyes, tasted with her tongue or felt with her heart will not be forgotten.
"I'm finally focused on the now and being an artist, living up to my potential and following my dreams".
