Vondel Park- Vondel Park 1,1071 AA Amsterdam
Vondelpark is the largest park in the city of Amsterdam, in 1865 L.D Zocher was commissioned to design the park as an English landscape. Over 120 acres located in the Stradhouderskade Museum Quarter. Also the Vondelpark features the open air theater with shows from June until August.

Van Gogh Musuem- Paulus Potterstraat 7, 1070 AJ Amsterdam
Originally opened in 1973, the Van Gogh Museum houses the world's largest collection of works by Vincent van Gogh. The collection includes over 200 paintings, 500 drawings and more than 700 letters from the artist. As well as major works by other 19Th century artist contemporaries and friends of Van Gogh. Back in March 08' they also featured an exhibition of John Everett Millais, an English painter from the 19th century. Regular admission is 12.50 Euro, Kids 12 and under are free. www.vangoghmuseum.com

Concertgebouw- Concertgebouwplein 2-6, 1017 LN Amsterdam
Opened in 1888, the resident orchestra is the royal concertgebouw orchestra. Led Zeppelin,The Who and Pink Floyd played here in the 1960's. Names of a number of classical music composers are displayed on the balcony ledges and on the walls in the Grote Zaal. When i visited i saw a Euro-concert, Russian State Symphony Orchestra and Choir of Saratov. The sound is amazing and the building itself is breathtaking. Stedelijk Museum- Post CS Building, 2ND Floor Oosterdokskade 5 1011 AD Amsterdam (temporary)
Exhibtions at the CS Museum are generally from the post-1968 period. When i visited in March of 08' they had an retrospective of MAGNUM photos to mark their 60Th anniversary, So glad i had a opportunity to view this photography exhibit. Other exhibitions were Never Mind That Noise You Heard, by Allora & Calzadilla and Eyes Wide Open, Acquisitions Stedelijk Museum & The Monique Zajfen Collection. Lux- Marnixstraat 403, 1017 PJ Amsterdam
One of three very retro/modern multi level bars, others are Kamer 401 and Weber. Owned by hotel Weber which is located above. I would say it's probably the only bar/nightclub that i saw packed with customer every night!

Hortus Botanicus- Plantage Middenlaan 2A, 1018 DD Amsterdam The Hortus is one of the oldest botanic gardens in the world. More then 6000 plants from all over the world grow in the garden and greenhouse. The greenhouse has a subtropical section with plants from South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand, a desert section with Welwitschia mirabilis, and a tropical section with a lifelike jungle full of palms, lianas, and orchids. The Palm house contains a 300 year old cycads, palms and an variety of trees. Also, an Butterfly house, Mexican greenhouse and Orangery. opens at 9:00 Mon-Fri and 10:00 on Sat & Sun, check for seasonal closing hours at www.dehortus.nl
