BUFFALO RESTAURANTS Kostas Family Restaurant 1561 Hertel Avenue Buffalo, New York 14216 The Kostas Family Restaurant is located on Hertel Avenue in the Heart of North Buffalo, serving Greek and American style cuisine. Over the 2010 holiday shopping season i went out to eat often, and Kostas was by far the best. We both enjoyed the Pikilia appetizer which was an combination of 5 delicious spreads, stuffed grapes leaves, olives and pita for $15. And the Lamb Gyro for $7 was tender, juicy and tasty. We also enjoyed some Greek beverages, the Mythos beer was a nice refreshing, crisp lager and the Retsing Boutari wine was very interesting, full bodied, not to sweet with strong aroma's of pine.
